Tokyo Sexwale Crèche – 2018/2019

Hollywoodbets Jeffreys Bay chose to support Tokyo Sexwale Crèche as part of Hollywoodbets’ My Community Programme for 2018/2019. Read on to learn more about the team’s donation.

The crèche was opened in 1999 with the goal of helping working parents within their community who can’t afford day care. Their goal is to provide a safe environment for children between the ages of one and five years old. The staff members care for the kids, providing them with food and toys during their time at the crèche.

The Hollywoodbets Jeffreys Bay Team chose to partner with the Tokyo Sexwale Crèche because they saw a great need when visiting the organisation. The Team was impressed by the good work that they do because they create a strong support structure for single working mothers who can’t afford day care, and with the crèche being located close to the branch the Team was confident it would benefit their community.

Hollywoodbets Jeffreys Bay donated mattresses, blankets, educational toys, reading books, a microwave, bowls, spoons, forks, a printer, paper, stationery including paint, art supplies, puzzles and playdough.

Principal Lungiswa Njadayi thanked the Team for their generosity.

“We are so grateful for the support received from Hollywoodbets Jeffreys Bay! Our school is struggling and don’t receive government grants so we depend heavily on donations and investment from private organisations. Hollywoodbets has given us such a boost and we are so thankful,” she said.
